2011 Coaching Staff:

Jeanette Howard-14u Black Head Coach & Founder- She was a 4 year starting pitcher at Baldwin Wallace College earning 1st team all conference. She is currently in her 6th year as the head softball coach at Strongsville High School, and has been teaching pitching & hitting lessons for the past 9 years. She recently founded Explosive Fastpitch which is an indoor softball training facility in Strongsville. She will be coaching a 14U showcase team this year.

Angie Nicholson-Clinic Director-She brings a wealth of softball knowledge and coaching experience to Explosive Fastpitch. She has coached at Tri C College, Ursuline College, Butler University and is currently the head coach at Cleveland State University. This is her second year with Explosive Fastpitch and this year she will be conducting the off season training for the entire organization.

Stephanie Taylor- Clinic Director- She is currently the hitting and catching instructor at Cleveland State University and helped lead them to back to back 30 win seasons. This is her second year with Explosive Fastpitch and this year she will be conducting the off season training for the entire organization.

Jen Short- 10u Pink Head Coach- She has 20 plus years of playing experience at all different levels and 3 years of coaching experience with OGSO. The OGSO team went on to be the County Tournament Champions for the 2nd year in a row. This will be her second year coaching with Explosive Fastpitch.

Rocco Moraco- 10u Pink Assistant Coach- He has had over 30 plus years of playing experience. He was the assistant coach for 3 years for an OGSO team. This will be his second year coaching the Explosive 10u pink team.

Anna Majewski- 10u Black Head Coach- She played 4 years of softball at Tri-C and Ursuline College helping her team finish 6th in the Nation. She was the head JV coach at Eastlake North High School for 2 years. This will be her second year coaching with Explosive Fastpitch.

Megan Bashak- 12u Pink Head Coach-She was a standout player for Elyria High School and pitched in the State Championship game in 2007. She is currently in her senior year of playing softball at Cleveland State University where she is the starting left fielder. This will be her second year with Explosive Fastpitch.

Bill Bashak- 12u Pink Assistant Coach- He has over 10 years of fastpitch coaching experience. He has been a coach with the Elyria Sundogs, Ohio Invasion, and Ohio Ice as well as coaching Elyria High School’s summer team. This will be his first year with Explosive Fastpitch.

Eric Mizner- 12u Pink Assistant Coach- He has been coaching fastpitch softball for over 8 years. He was the head coach of the Highland Hornets 10u Emerald Necklace team for 2 years and led them to a championship in 2009. This will be his second year with Explosive Fastpitch.

LeAnne Anderson- 12u Black Head Coach- She was a 4 year starting shortstop @ Trinity H.S. earning Plain Dealer Player of the Year Honors in 1990 and 1991 and receiving the Bob Lobe Award from the Cleveland Indians in 1991. She went on to play Softball at Tiffin University on a scholarship. She coached the 12U and 10U Broadview Hts. Lady Eagles Travel teams the past two years leading the 10u to a championship. This is her second year coaching the Explosive Fastpitch 12U.

Jamie Colley-12u Black Assistant She is currently in her junior year at John Carrol University and is a standout outfielder. She was recently voted a team captain for the 2010 season. She attended high school at St. Agnes Academy in Texas where she helped lead her team to 2 state championship titles. This is her second year with Explosive Fastpitch 12u.

Brittany Mullen- 14u White Head Coach- She has over 10 years of playing experience where she was a standout pitcher at Hoban High School. She helped lead her team to 2 state championships and was heavily recruited by many division 1 colleges. She started her coaching career at Brush High School where she was their pitching coach and was an assistant coach for the Diamond Chix this past year. This will be her first year with Explosive.

Kristine Nerlich- 14u White Assistant Coach- She has coached fastpitch for over 7 years. This past year she was the head jv coach at Highland Medina High School and also an assistant coach fro the Diamond Chix tournament team. This will be her first year with Explosive Fastpitch.

Sam Swineford-14u Pink Head Coach- She was a 4 year letterman at Mapleton High School in Ashland, Ohio where she was a standout pitcher/2nd baseman. She was a two-time all conference player of the year and then went on to play collegiate softball at Baldwin Wallace College. She started her coaching career two years ago with a 12U team and has been teaching pitching lessons since then. In 2009, she was the assistant JV coach at Strongsville High School. This is her first year with Explosive Fastpitch.

Lauren Sabolik- 14u Pink Assistant Coach- She played 4 years of softball as the starting 2^nd baseman at Baldwin Wallace College. She graduated in 2009 and is now a certified personal trainer. This will be her first year with Explosive Fastpitch.

Katrina Resek-14u Black Assistant Coach- She was a standout player at Strongsville High School and broke over 5 records in 2007. She is currently in her 4th year as the starting Short Stop at Baldwin Wallace College.   Katrina was first team All OAC in 2009. This will be her second year coaching the Explosive Fastpitch team.

Laurel Gaab-14u Black Assistant Coach- She played 4 years of softball at Strongsville High School and helped lead her team to the Regional final game in 2007. She is currently in her second year with Explosive Fastpitch coaching a team.

Roxanne Zdanski-16u Pink Head Coach- She played softball at Tri- C college and while there was a 2 time captain. She coached the 12u & 14u Cleveland Wildcats tournament team for 3 years. This will be her second year with Explosive Fastpitch.

Ariel Kilmer- 16u Pink Assistant Coach- She was a standout pitcher and infielder at Berea High School. She continued her playing career at Tri-C College. This will be her second season with Explosive Fastpitch.

Emlyn Knerim-16u Black Head Coach- She was an All State pitcher for Brunswick High School 2 years ago. She is currently a standout pitcher at Ashland University and led them to the super regionals in 2009. This will be her second season with Explosive Fastpitch 16u.

Rachel Powers- 16u Black Assistant Coach- She was a starting outfielder for Baldwin Wallace College and graduated in 2008. In 2009, she was the head JV coach for Strongsville High School. This will be her first year with Explosive Fastpitch .

Stacey Floom-14u Black Assistant Coach- She was a 4 year starting 3rd baseman at Baldwin Wallace College. For 5 years, she coached the 16U and 18U Cleveland Wildcats Tournament Team.   Last year, she coached the 18U Explosive Pink team and this year she will be coaching a 14u team.

Ted Bruening-18u Pink Head Coach- He has been the head softball coach at Lakewood High School for the past 3 years. He has also been involved in coaching 10u and 12u summer softball teams these past 3 years. This will be his first year with Explosive Fastpitch.

Buzz Mullen-18u Black Head Coach- He has been involved in coaching fastpitch softball for over 15 years. He is currently the assistant softball coach at Avon Lake High School. This will be his second year with Explosive Fastpitch 18u.

Joe Yocabet-18u Black Assistant Coach- He was the head softball coach at Baldwin Wallace college for over 20 years. He is currently still the pitching coach there, and has coached tournament ball for many years. This will be his second year with Explosive Fastpitch 18u.

LuAnne Mariano- 18u Black Assistant Coach- She has over 10 years of coaching experience and was the head coach of the Catan’s Sting in 2007-2008. This will be her second year with Explosive Fastpitch.
The $750 fee includes the following:
·         Highly Qualified and Experienced coaches – Coaching fees
·         Tournament Fees for 6 elite tournaments
·         Indoor clinics at the Cleveland State Dome held by the CSU coaching staff- This will last for 2-3 months long
·         Indoor facility field rental for winter practices held by Explosive Fastpitch Staff
·         Outdoor field rental for spring and summer practices
·         2 Uniforms- 2 jerseys/1 pants/1shorts/2 pair of socks
·         Team equipment
·         Umpire fees for scrimmages throughout the week in the spring/summer
·         Free clinics run by Explosive Fastpitch staff
